When I upload the StockItem Master with MRP [or Standard Cost / Standard Price], the MRP [or Standard Cost / Standard Price] for the earlier dates gets overwritten. How to resolve this issue ?
Solution
In the Master-StockItemMaster template, scroll right and go the section Advanced settings to "APPEND DATA" date-wise (Yes or No). Under this section, you can specify which things you need to append.
To append MRP data, you must specify "Yes" under the Column Heading "MRP".
To append Standard Cost data, you must specify "Yes" under the Column Heading "Standard Cost".
To append Standard Price data, you must specify "Yes" under the Column Heading "Standard Selling Price".
IMPORTANT
When "Append data" is set to Yes, the new entries (viz MRP or Standard Cost or Standard Price) will be appended without overwriting the existing / previous dates MRP / Standard Cost / Standard Price. However, if you import the same Excel data once again, then you will get error "Duplicate entry".
