Can I specify the Party Code / Alias instead on the Party Name while importing data from Excel to Tally ?

Answer
Yes. You can specify the Party Code (i.e. Alias) in the Party Name column in the excel sheet while importing data from Excel to Tally. The voucher entry automatically gets posted to the Party Name / Ledger Name.

PS:
1. The Alias must exist in Tally against the Party / Ledger Name.

2. The same concept works for "Other Masters" also. You can specify the Alias instead of the Name.
