Applicable to udi-Magic v3.0 and v4.0 only
Please follow these steps to solve the above mentioned error viz "Security privileges error" in udi-Magic v3.0 and v4.0.
For Vista Users
1) Start your Computer and log-in as Administrator (or any user having administrator rights)
2) Next, open MyComputer
3) Next, open the folder "C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys"
4) Select one-by-one each file in this folder and assign full-rights to all users using the following steps :-
a) Right-click on a file (one-file-at-a-time) and select "Properties"
b) Click on the "Security" tab
c) Click on the "Add" button
d) Type out "USERS" and click on Ok button.
e) Next, click on the "Full Control" check-box under the "Allow" for "Permissions for users".
f) Next, click on the "Apply" button to apply the changes.
g) Repeat the steps (a) to (f) for each file in the MachineKeys folder.
In brief, full-access has to be provided to "Users" for all the files in the folder specified in Point 3.
For Older-Windows Versions
Follow the same steps as given for Vista Users except for the folder given in point 3 which is be taken as follows :-
C:\Documents and Settings\all users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
After making the above changes, try running UDIMagic.
IMPORTANT
udi-Magic v3.0 and v4.0 have been discontinued and support for these versions is NOT available.
