I want to use the template "Master-StockItemMaster.xls" to upload StockItems into Tally. Will udi-Magic Software create new StockItems or will it alter / modify the existing stockitems in Tally ?

Answer

If the StockItem does NOT exist in Tally, then a new StockItem will be created.

If the StockItem already exists in Tally, then it will be modified / altered with the new data as given in the template.

In simple words, you can use the Master-StockItemMaster.xls template to both create and to alter the StockItems.
