CASE 1 : Import data in a NEW Company in Tally ERP


Steps

Import data in a NEW Company in Tally

1. Create a NEW Company in Tally (do not use existing Company)

2. Enable GST feature

3. Start udi-Magic Software

4. Select "Excel to Tally >> Import data into Tally"

5. Click the Browse button and select the Excel sheet "Vouchers-V9-Sales-Purchase-Basic.xls" from the folder  :
C:\udi-MagicDemo or C:\udi-MagicV90.

6. In the next screen, click the Start button

This will import data into the New Company in Tally


CASE 2 : Import data in an EXISTING Company in Tally ERP


Before you begin, ensure that you have set / updated the StockItems and Party Ledgers in your existing Company.

CAUTION
If you do NOT set / update the StockItems and Party Masters in your existing Company, you will NOT get HSN code; and Tax details correctly in Tally Reports.


You can use the following templates to update GST details in  StockItem and Party Ledgers:
- Master-StockItemMaster.xls
- Master-LedgerMaster.xls


STEPS

Import data in an EXISTING Company in Tally


1. Open you Existing Company in Tally

2. Start udi-Magic Software

3. Select "Excel to Tally >> Import data into Tally"

4. Click the Browse button and select the Excel sheet "Vouchers-V9-Sales-Purchase-Basic.xls" from the folder  :
C:\udi-MagicDemo or C:\udi-MagicV90.

5. In the next screen, click the Start button

This will import data into the New Company in Tally
